John is right. It is in fact not difficult to
generate text that can hardly be distinguished
from the VMs, as we've seen on the list a few
months ago (from at least two people). One way
of doing it can be found in Bennett's book,
which was also quoted:

This can be done using a random number generator,
which does not prove that the VMs text is meaningless.
Quite the contrary:
The RNG output does not have certain properties
that the VMs has (long-range correlations, as
shown by Mark Perakh and Gabriel Landini).

Still more work to be done ;-/
