VMs: Publishing the VM as a book?

Hi all,

On one of the websites I read about the idea of publishing the VM as a book, to 
make good copies available to everyone.

Did that idea ever substantiate?

If not, I might be willing to venture on that enterprise as an editor, provided 
someone can deliver good scans of the original. (A 300-page paperback edition 
with some commentaries, b/w interior, would cost some 20 Euro in the bookstore.)
