VMs: College/University Crypto Courses

Thanks to Bruce Grant and Wdimitri for the pointers to
crypto classes at colleges and universities. An eye-opener
for me. Making some reasonable guesses, I suspect the vast
majority of those classes deal with crypto systems that were
unknown 40 years ago, and which require computers. I doubt
if there is very much of what many of us would term
"historical" systems, and even that is probably covered the
first day in an introductory lecture before moving on to
something introduced about 1950. Can anyone confirm or
refute that?

Thanks again guys.
