Yes.
People sometimes use 'I know that...' or talk about
facts when in reality they are talking about
hypotheses or assumptions.
Now whether a person is still alive or not is
a fact. And the fact is that Robert S. Brumbaugh
has passed away a number of years ago. I cannot
give the year or any verifiable reference.
199x seems reasonable.
Brumbaugh's children have been on a number of
TV shows about the VMs, explaining their late
father's theories about the VMs.
Robert C. Brumbaugh was quite involved with his
father's work. He might know more about the origin
of the archer's hat. But this can also be verified
in other ways.
