Actually, I did not notice this distinction... (incidentally, when I 
subscribed to this list, I didn't expected it to have as much traffic...)

So, I'll re-phrase:

"There are theories / explanations / comments on the fact that *sentences* 
never carry on the
next page, but always end when the page ends?"
