VMs: Re: Giants of the Past



according to the Codebreakers book the VMS was started to be applied to the "Super" codebreaking software used by the military, but was halted (I believe)

I would think that most of the efforts done these days is probably comperable to what they had in those days though(?) ie stats analysis, etc

Which makes me wonder whether or not the VMS has already have been subjected 
to 'supercomputer' analysis and a solution determined? But then, if that is 
the case, why not disclosed?
