VMs: Recommended read

I just stumbled across a nice work on the web:

Very comprehensive, perhaps a bit terse, but with a great emphasis on code 
analysis... just what we need. Also provides many useful statistical tables.

Might especially be something for those who haven't yet spent years of their 
lives with the VM.
