	I used to think that the VMs system is homophonic, and
we could decipher it in a similar fashion  - look at
what elements differ between A and B, and assume that
those elements are part of a common system that two
operators used differently.  This approach could still
be useful, even if we aren't sure that A and B are
"really" different.
