VMs: Beinecke's email

Hi folks.

They indicated to me that the scan would be at 400dpi, and 24 bit 
colour.  You can see examples of other MS by going to 
http://beinecke.library.yale.edu/dl_crosscollex/
and poking about there.  MS404 is very colourful!

I think UV light is out, and any special requests ditto - they have to 
think of conservation.  They also pointed out that not all pages may get 
scanned - if the conservator decides any are too fragile they will have 
to wait for full conservation (but this is not scheduled).

The images will be available at the site given above, in 2-4 months, is 
what I was told.  Which looks like they'll be free.
