Sure.

My point was really about the book title,
which does in the end not seem to refer to the
16th century.

The actual publication date may well be related
to the scanning of VMs pages by Yale.

I am still amused by the "CV" of Gerry Kennedy.
He is quite a distant relative of Voynich,
and his "unique" collection of material is either
not that unique, or it refers to a unique
collection of other stuff :-)
