 All the things apart, I am amazed how Slavonic connection can lead to the word, which is not Slavonic at all! I would assume the method could be  used for the whole VM, so it would be more appropriate to use it on some other words. That  may lead us to the original language - after all, was the rest of the VM written  in encoded Latin or was it really Slavonic langauage? Neither of them of course has the obvious "word shortness" of the VM.   

What  looks to me  more interesting is the fact that some letters in your Salvonic text sample (see fig.1, in that pdf document) do look like Voynichese, even if the handwriting is quite different. It seems to me that it is - somehow - the closest script style that I ever seen.
