Re: VMs: dB request: was: transcriptions and shorthand notes

*** I don't think this made it through the first time, so I am resending. Sorry if you get this twice. ***

Hi all,

Here are two scripts for batch renaming files. The files should be named #######.sid
where ####### is the Beinecke id. Download the appropriate file (windows or *nix) and place it in the same directory as the sid files. (No, I didn't write these by hand :-> )

If you are on windows, just 2bl click the bat file. For *nix, you might be able to 2bl click the sh file, otherwise, you will need to run it from the console.

<not yelling, just very important>
I GIVE YOU THIS SOFTWARE WITH OUT ANY WARRANTY. I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR IT DELETING YOUR HARD DRIVE OR MAKING FURRY ANIMALS APPEAR ON YOUR SCREEN, ETC. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

That being said, of course, I will try my best to help anyone who has problems.

Windows version:
http://demo.gavelintl.com/renameSids.zip

*nix Version:
http://demo.gavelintl.com/renameSids.sh.gz

I hope this helps.

Ted
