VMs: modi script

Have a look at this page especially the ruled lines anchoring the script. If
you view certain characters upsidedown, such as kam and kah you can see the
gallows shape. So these types of characters were not unique in some
respects. Obviously nothing to do with the VMS but interesting.

In devanagari we see two descending legs as quite common.

In meroitic we get i, iii, vii as [o], [y] and [se] respectively.

All these scripts seem to share a history. Is there a dead script out there
that no one has found? An intriguing thought.
