Re: VMs: Re: Re: Inks and retouching
A couple more remarks, then Forensics can have it back.
f3v, second line, first word, second individual diagonal (EVA-i). Maybe
it did not happen here, but the two dark lines at top causes me to
wonder if initial impacts of pen to vellum might sporadically have
caused excessive ink to flow so that smear actions were necessary. Maybe
a characteristic of this particular writer, the vellum, the pen, or the
ink.
Still a mystery to me. I am not impressed with conclusions being
referred to as fact nor do I believe in the infallibility of deductive
reasoning, which is dependent on the reasoner and knowledge. It may be
the best there is to offer but it is not necessarily fact. The best
there was to offer Native Americans seeing a ship for the first time was
that it was a floating island. To some Europeans, it was reasonable that
birds spent the winter under the local lake. If an observation includes
an assumption, that is another chance to go astray. I am impressed,
though, with the detail work on this and some good reasoning, also.
