VMs: Hello, I am new to the VMs list

Hello,

My name is Ronald Lorenzo, and I am a graduate student
in Sociology.  I am studying to earn a Ph.D. in
demography at Texas A&M University - College Station. 
My background includes an M.B.A. (hence my email
address).  As you can see, I do not have the
credentials for cryptography, just an amateur's
curiosity.

Recently I became aware of the Voynich manuscript and
have started to read about it, including D'imperio's
book.  I've always been interested in languages and
history.  In the past I have taken courses in German,
Japanese, French, Italian, and Spanish.  I retain the
ability to read in French and Italian, and I speak
Spanish.  

One thing that I would like to do is write a research
paper on the sociology of the Voynich Manuscript.  At
some point, I would like to write about who becomes
interested in the Voynich manuscript and why.
