Re: VMs: Something for the list to check out.

Hello Erni,

I downloaded and read all your paper. I have to admit that I have some difficulty digesting some of the
comparisons, which is why I fail to grasp most of the similarities that you do see.

Perhaps my reluctance regarding this theory arises from the fact that T-O Maps, allegorical representations of the Earth and Jerusalem and Paradise, herbal depictions and Ptolemaic zodiac circles, all seem to pre-date Dante (1265-1321).

Now, this is not to say that your approach is not original, nor to discard it as a valid interpretation.

It would be very helpful if you could condense in a few bullet points what you consider is the strongest, most convincing evidence in favor of your position - this could provide a good starting point for discussion.

Thank you for contributing your ideas to the list.

Hello to the list.

Well, the time has come for me to step up to the podium, so to speak, and
stick my neck out for some "peer review" (read here: bloodletting).
I've been putting this paper together since July (or so my notes tell me)
and I've finally gotten it rewritten enough that I think it can be
followed by someone other than myself.
That said, everyone sharpen up those axes and take a look at the paper
I've posted at:

Thanks to those of you who answered my questions over the past few months.
