I came here from a mention of the VM on the "Astronomy Picture of the Day" 
column elsewhere on the web; that was the first time I'd taken note of the VM.

As for what keeps me... well, it's a conundrum, a challenge, a puzzle, and it 
freaks me out that one ren-fair peasant should be able to stump the creme de la 
creme of 21st century geeks for so long... ;-)
