Perhaps a voluntary convention of putting some sort of heading in front of
subjects (e.g. "(ASTROLOGY)", "(DECONSTRUCTION)", "(SEMANTICS)", "(OT)",
etc.), as is done on many other lists, would allow you and others to set up
appropriate filters in your mail-reader to weed out the topics you find of
no interest, while the rest of us could read or ignore them as we deem
appropriate.
I would suggest that as none of us can yet claim to have determined the one
single correct path or methodology that will lead to an answer to the
Voynich enigma, pushing away people who have an interest in the VMS on the
basis of their avenue of investigation not meeting someone else's standards
is counterproductive.
The signal-to-noise ratio on this list, as elsewhere, is to my mind largely
subjective.
