So is gravitation.

Get up to a fifth floor, any fifth floor. Open a window.
Jump out. See? The effects of gravitation have been
proved true. So you are the victim of a social construct.
You've been socially oppressed. How does it feel to be

Next stupidity, please, this _is_ entertaining.

Jumping out of a window introduces one to the effects of falling. Falling is a phenomenon; it's been around since Adam. Gravitation is the theory; it's been around only since Newton. It'll be revamped sooner or later, e.g. as quantum gravity. But no matter what changes are made to the theory of gravitation, we'll still experience falling. (Although when Einstein introduced relativity, it became a fact that a body now fell somewhat differently than it did under Newtonian gravitation.)

Andrew
