The gravy splashes over too large a distance when using a 15(Base10)th 
floor window. By jumping out of a 5(Base8,Base10,Base16)th floor window 
the gravy is confined to a smaller area thereby creating less work for 
the socially constructed custodian who will have to clean up the mess.

Of course, Sokal typically invites the jumpees to make use of his 
21(Base10)st floor apartment window....
