My friend Jorge responded:

I also wrote:

Well, I might hold this opinion based on your current attacks, or based on
your past performance. I might simply base it on the fact that I don't
really think you have any idea of what the Voynich is about. It's a gut
reaction, something a good antacid could cure, but a reaction nonetheless.

Jorge, you're on of the people that behave like the evidence is on your
side, when its not. You like to be provocative, I get that, but the
evidence for cipher far outweighs that of language. You've certainly run
the numbers over the years, come down on the side of your own numbers for a
change. Believe your own results.

I was initially fascinated by your examples of "retouching", and I thought
you might be onto something. Your responses to my questioning were as I
said, intended to shut me down, and I wasn't happy about that. You and I
have been doing this a lot of years, and to address each other in such terms
is to me inexcusable. I do believe that if I ran the archives I would find
a time or two when I was disrespectful, so I'm a bit forgiving, It's the
timing more than anything else, when even Nick knows that I "have it", this
is just not the time for me to be "respectful". A poor excuse, but I hope
you accept my premise.

It was not your pizza that was really in question, rather your willingness
to deliver. I do not personally know the address of Dr. Strong's closest
heir, but this information is available to Jim Gillogly, as I understand.
Disgreements between you and myself should never get in the way of the fact
that we are arguing something that was solved in 1945, that I am not the
eloquent "decipherer" or that I am anything in this scenario other than an
historian that has done the work on Strong's existing papers that prove
beyond doubt that his claim was a correct and accurate claim.

It's not my pizza, I shouldn't get bent, but I do. Go figure.
