February/March : - Of course they plant most crops in the Middle East in 
February and March. This is immediately after the rainy season. The crops 
are then harvested in what we in the west call spring, before the hot winds 
arrive and dry everything up. Rains come again in December/January, and the 
ground has usually absorbed enough moisture by February for planting. Is 
this pattern of planting unique?
