Any exotic script could be described as Chaldean in the general period in
which the VMs surfaces (per the Voynich Hypothesis).  I suspect anyone who
confounds the subject with Lovecraft, however, would have little of use to
say on the subject of the VMs or anything else, possibly not even on
Lovecraft's fiction, though a certain latitude in presentation is
sometimes allowed in that field!
