RE: VMs: Rohonczi Codex

Title: RE: VMs: Rohonczi Codex

It is indeed a letter written in German, the first line reads "Hochgeehrter Herr College!" - the rest is more difficult to read but I'll give it a try tonight!

Interesting. I downloaded the lot. But I cannot see any similarity with
the VMS. The drawings in the Rohonczi Codex are obvious illustrations
of scenes of the New Testament. In fact, their style reminds me much more
of the Chilam Balam of Chumayel than of the VMS. And the writing is
completely different. The characters are different, and their style is
different. Image optm_226.jpg shows a letter in German, dated 1885,
but I cannot make anything of it beyond the opening greeting:

"Hoch(illegible scrawl)er Herr College!"

I wonder what the rest says.
