Re: VMs: Rohonczi Codex
A search on the net produces seemingly conflicting informtion. see eg:
http://www.dacia.org/carpatho-danubian-space.html
http://www.dr-savescu.com/history/sumer-e.html
I get from it that it could be the lost writing of the Dacians.
Since the contents seems to be bible texts, or related stories, and the
language most likely exists or existed, decoding or translating could be
"easier" than the VMs.
Of help might be that text and names in pictures can (often) be found in the
text: see eg page 133. Contrary to the VMs where a connection between labels
in diagrams and text AFAIK is still at best speculative.
Some more information regarding the Codex Rohnonczi can be found on the
Forum here:
http://www.dr-savescu.com/codex/study/forum/forum.html
Especially the (last) link to Dumitru Gr^u looks interesting. However
Roumanian is not my best language, and babelfish hasn't got it either. Can
someone explain what is said there? Don't forget to click the links on top:
Intro in filele comentate: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9
Again, in Roumanian....
I too support the idea of starting a separate Rohnonczi list since there
doesn't seem to be one (even the Roumanian Forum seems dead to me), and
restricting messages on Rohnonczi here when related to Voynichese.
