Hello
Perhaps the whole idea of our VMS was that it was _intended_ to be
understood?Hopefully...
Suppose that it was designed as a test of initiative or even
initiation? "If you can make sense of this, you can be in my gang...."
sort of thing.Funny, I recently off list toyed with the paranoid idea of a modern test for Voynichers...
Your one looks quite sensible to me; BTW it s exactly the way alchemical
treatises are written; they are (this an inside view, of course), written for the
happy few, those who already know...something).
There might even have been a clue or clues no longer
available to us at this distance - a popular catch-phrase or the like,
say, or a common joke....Yes, the clues in that case do exist, more or less hidden like a weak echo within
a loud noise, in pictures generally - but not always - in the case of alchemy.
Otherwise, we should never forget that the VMS as we know it now is not the complete one; at a first stage, then it s not easy to decide that the clues are still there or not.
Your idea of a joke is excellent, IMHO; alchemists love them, it s part of their secret
language, and the tarot symbol of the fool or joker if you want is quite meaningful in that context. As we say in French le fou est celui qui a tout perdu sauf la raison; c'est en fait "le sage".
"Infamy. Infamy! They've all got it in for me...."Fame, fama, not infamy...
Not very likely, alas: but a nice idea. I wonder what the pizza was like
in those days?An other brilliant idea: we are all looking for the recipe isn't it?

Concerning Murphy's Law.
"Murphy's Law was not defined by Murphy,
but by another man of the same name."Regards,
Jean
PS I think that the name is not important, but the law
surely is.
