Hi everyone,

It might be interesting to visit the Voynich collection at the British Museum. There might be hints of his early years in Lithuania?

This is the same Coll Misc 0261 which I've flagged before, held at the British Library of Political and Economic Science, part of the London School of Economics and Political Science (AKA "the LSE"). In the absence of other information, I'd guess that WMV donated this just before emigrating to the US (rather than carry all 15 volumes with him).

I'm fairly sure that the collection probably says much more about revolutionary Poland 1846-1914 than it does about our assistant pharmacist chum, but you never know for sure without looking - that's the fun of historical research. :-)

Cheers, .....Nick Pelling.....
