There is perhaps a slight misunderstanding here: When I am calling for references, I of course
am aiming at references external to VM list, so that we try and avoid circular information.

by doing so I am obviously, for the list, "quoting Rene".
You are right of course, all I say is that it was not my info - if I forgot to mention Rene's site, it wa smy fault.
Quoting Rene further:
"Personally, I am even more interested in the
Jesuit called Santini or Santinus, who has also
written to Kircher, and who had is mentioned
twice by Marci, both times together with Baresch."
"And so do I. In the bottom block it refers to
Martinus Schaffner. When Jacobus Sinapius was
a student in Cesky Krumlov, his tutor was
Martin Schaffner. I have not been able to find
anything about him except his being mentioned in
Schmidl's biography of Jacobus. "
I have got the impression that after my previous posts
about Moretus Santinus and Schaffner, we know a bit
more.
WEell sonebody knows, I don't
Perhaps already said otherwise: Sendivogius was at some
stage the owner of a house
in Olomouc.
Right, and Paracelsus was living there some tiem too, if I remember correctly.

No, my point was that the info there is from Rene anyway, he should be quoted.
