Hi, Rene
Thanks for the caution. I suppose it is unnecessary
to point out that all and any astrological texts from
any number of sources from the time of the VMs contain
attributions and citations, right and left.
Everybody cited everybody, ad infinitum. It was how
astrological matters were discussed. So the
appearance of a single name in the text, even if we
can assume decryption and tranlsation are accurate,
hardly establishes provenance.
However, if the VMs Zodiac illustrations refer to a
specific date, time, and year, we have some very
interesting pieces of information; at least, to an
astrologer. Once again, they may not indicate the
actual date of the writing of the VMs, but if they
hold such great interest for the author, we can assume
they have some importance to the meaning of the Ms
overall.
Warmly,
Pam
