"Predictivity" or "Predictiousiveness"? ;-)
Non-predictivity? Residuity? Drossity?
Scoriaceositousness?
Now that I like!
Or perhaps, as GC & I might say, "non-predictivitudinositousnessity"?
At one of my places of work we said
"garbaceousness/garbacity", from "garbage"; my coinage.
I do remember a Fog Index and various other readability
indices for writing style, but I doubt that's germane here.
BTW, if you feed "negentropy" into one well-known online thesaurus, it
asks you if you mean "pigeon-drop" - technically correct, I'm sure, but
quite surreal all the same!
http://thesaurus.reference.com/search?q=negentropy
I'm not so sure; follow the reference and "pigeon-drop"
itself doesn't come out. Looks like a glitch. Glitsch,
incidentally, is a company that sells chemical process
equipment!
Seriously, I have always thought it odd that entropy in
information theory is a measure of information, yet in
thermodynamics it is a measure of disorder or the
unavailability of heat as mechanical work. After all, a
file from a random number generator shows a higher entropy
than an English text, yet contains no semantic information!
Rather like the case of the anthropologist who kept asking
the native, "Can you say this?" to which the native kept
responding "Yes," and finally the anthropologist thought to
ask, "So what does it mean?" and the native replied, "Not a
damn thing!"
Also: here's a word I didn't know that came up - "recrement", meaning
"Waste matter; dross", a bit like an underpowered version of "excrement":-
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=recrement
http://www.hyperdictionary.com/dictionary/recrement
I remember that Chaucer had "fundament", meaning
"excrement", but a lot of his words didn't make it into
modern English.
Obviously, one person's recrement is another person's sacrament!
:-)...recrementicitousness?
Felicitious! I remember an essay called "An Investigative
Examination of Driveliferrous Jargonogenesis"
