Re: VMs: how would one apply quantitative analysis to a particular issue

One more question, and I promise to stand silent for several days.

If one was to collect every instance of a word, say the EVA alphabet word "jain" or "jaiin" and close relatives assuming the scribe isn't consistent in glyphs like m and n once in a while ( I am chasing this EVA word as a phonetic "san"-[my reason for S instead of J is from a review of S in Guiot version at the Charrette project and from backward chaining if one suspected French is this a word or sound that would be prevalent- the N is consistent with Bennet], besides the actual position in the texts, is there already an existing way to quickly quantitatively analyse where it is relative to the end of a folio, the end of a folio in the herbal section, or the end of a line, using available tools?  I am looking for possibly the software tools to do the analysis to properly document end structure defying random generation, and consistent with meaningful discussion one might expect in a guide type book about plants saying similar type things about different varieties on different folios, particularly in certain sections of the manuscript.

For instance, just reviewing the first handful or so folios, if one accepted a phonetic take down method such that this "san" might be its own word or part of a word as in  croissant (no I don't believe any of the Voynich words is croissant - although there might be reference to an egg mcmuffin), it shows up on f4r 3nd from the end, f3r 6th from the end, f4v 1st paragraph 4th from the end, f7r 2nd from end, etc.  From the existing work this would equate to determing page, paragraph or line ending relevant positional frequency of the EVA words/sounds "jain" or "jaiin".  Can this/has this been done?

I realize other than the absolute position in the text, the relative position to the folio or line end, probably doesn't exist and I just need to put in the elbow grease and do the work.  However, if one of the software wizards knows this can be done quickly and easily I would appreciate a pointer to such tools or persons.

I apologize in advance for the level of noise,

Thanks.
