Re: VMs: Q. is there a to-do list?

Nick,

I seem to remember the item on your challenges page:

Examine "hundreds of undeciphered documents" for similarities with the VMS
Glen Claston/Nick Pelling
Find them, scan them in, and post them to the web!
What does this refer to? I did a quick search of the email archives but couldn't find a reference to this one.

Cheers,
Brett

I've recently posted a short list of VMs-related real-world research
projects (ie places someone would need to physically travel to in order to
find the answer to a question) here:-
http://www.nickpelling.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/voynich/howtohelp.html

Note that we've already moved a fair bit forward on C.A.Edgell M.A. of
late, so I should really update that page to reflect what we now know. :-)

Also: before the scans were made available, I made a list of interesting
features of the VMs which I hoped the Beinecke might be able to scan at a
high! er resolution - however, the resolution they did use seems to be
sufficient for most fine detail to be made out OK. So: while this is not
exactly a research list, it remains a good-sized list of things you might
consider looking at in the sidfiles:-

Finally: a long time ago, I posted a page of VMs-related challenges. This
needs updating, but it's possibly not a bad place to look at for some
inspiration in this direction. :-)

All of these (plus many others of little use or less) are indexed somewhat
tersely on my site:-

Cheers, .....Nick Pelling.....
