the strahov library is administered by the premonstrate order who also own 
the whole strahov monastery. the best way to start is to go to clementinum 
to the rare and manuscript collection department and look through the 
published catalogue of the strahov manuscript collection. then you should 
have a czech person call the monastery librarian, tell them what your 
purpose of study is and most likely you can arrange a study period at the 
library. there is also an unpublished typewritten part of the catalogue 
which you should request once at the monastery's library. i went through 
this procedure several times when working on my thesis. good luck.
the faust house is at the northernmost end of karlovo square. the last time 
i was in prague (last september) the were doing a complete reconstruction of 
the building. it might be open to the public again i don't know.
a tremendously interesting site for anyone familiar or interested in alchemy 
in general is the star summer chateau (letohradek hvezda).it has just 
reopened after years of reconstruction. its layout, inner structure and 
decorations are all based on alchemical principals and the zodiac.
