There is actually a special tourist guide to all magical places
in Prague (there are so many of them!). It was available everywhere
in several major languages when I was there last time (2 years ago?).
Here are the details of the English version:

Martin Stejskal, _The Secrets of Magic Prague_,
    Dauphin Publishers, Prague 1997.ISBN 80-86019-40-3

I would also highly recommend the Italian (yes!) book:

Angelo Maria Ripellino, _Praga magica_ (1991)

I do not know if it was published in English - there were certainly
translations into Czech and Polish (1997). It is not a guide
but rather a portrait of the city, its history and culture.
Highly readable and capturing the spirit of Prague in a wonderful
way. If you can get hold of it, you will certainly enjoy it.

The place where I *always* go when in Prague is a beer-bar
"U Magistra Kellyho" [At Master Kelley's] - it is near
the center but off the usual tourist routes, in the court yard
of an old house where - they say - Westonia lived (but I am not
sure if it is not another legend). Her oil portrait (a copy?)
is inside, and walls are decorated with (rather amateurish
but nice) alchemical drawings. And my favourite Urquell beer
is much cheaper then elsewhere!

Best regards,
