Interestingly, when I was trying (several years ago) to identify
the house in which Dee and Kelley stayed in Cracow, I found out
that in the neighbouring house there had been a huge furnace
for producing maiolica, built and owned by an Italian (don't
remember the name) - many of whom came to Cracow in the 15th
and 16th c. Perhaps just a coincidence...
Now there is a nice bar inside what used to be the maiolica furnace,
if you ever go there...
