I found one of the 17 step 270 degree moon dials at

It is a pdf file, so you need the Acrobat reader.
The moon dial is on page 4.  There is also a picture of a wind rose.

I also saw this page on "chequered scales".  The outside ring of the diagram
of the moon on f67r sure looks to me like it could be a scale (of what,
though?).
