VMs: Re: GC's: MY offer for the Mailing List

Hi ALL :-) & GC, -=se=->

YES to ALL, "IF" www.voynich.net can be ~snagged~ or already IS then
GREAT! I vote in favor! We have many computer experts HERE, (albeit
I'm not one of them) and as long as a simple mailing list and
archieving is kept - it should run smoothly.. additionally adding
areas of few graphics or PIC/GIF/TIFF is just a bonus I would think!

I don't need nor want a board position: (I'm sure ALL concerned are
good/qualified and concerned for all now and in the vms/future!)

I just wish we ALL can sometimes soon _agree_ on EVA "t"

being
1) GALLOW(s)
2) Picknick Table(s)
3) FOLDed 1(s)
4) CAPITOL letter(s)
5) Curly-Que'd thingy(s)
6) Sailor-braid(s) 1-8(s)
7) "whatever eva o t PLUS(s)" etc..

(just smiling - as WE will GET THIS! TOO, soon :-)

ES said "the TIME is NOW!"

Best you & yours

steve (I vote for ANYthing that works!:-)) ekwall

PS - just a personal note - my site DIAC.com (94-99) was SOLD to
BeWell.NET (99-2001) (they're a joke (ha.haa = Be Well - but always
BUSY) to FGN.NET (2001-present)(First Global.net in CALIFORNIA!) -They
didn't even Know DIAC (Denver) was still here (ugh) they say they are
RAISING RATES x3 this Month else, they will have to SELL TOO! (pss -
they have all national numbers running 1st through a national
rollover.line via "popsite.net AND STARNET.com" to slow ~spamming~ now
which s l o w s everything! I'm _NOT_ on their Board(s) either
(ha.haaa).. good thing! (grrRrrrrrr)

geez louis - nothing like a STABLE URL - eh? :-/

PSS - GC send me a snail-mail address and I'll shoot you a $100.oo US
check to Start/Help nail this "foundation" down (3 years now.a.days)
sounds long-term! maybe LLC or small Inc should be formed? but lets
not get TOO complicated .. that will KILL any upstarts right off the
bat.. If you need to just ~roughly~ balance the on-line account -
that is cool too! :-)

would be available for three years. I think
however that the VMS List has gone somewhat beyond
that, and needs its own site.

I have discussed the situation with my friend at
GlobalSpace Solutions, and he has agreed to lock
up the registration of www.voynich.net until
Friday evening, pending our purchase of the name
and the site. Unless someone steps forward with
major complaints against a site owned and managed
by Jim Gillogly and a board of directors, this
transaction will occur, and the title
www.voynich.net will be attached to a very large
500mb space and an endless mailing list, as my
 minor contribution to the VMS.

Since I notice that Reeds and Gillogly are having
relocation problems, as well as Rene, (I've just
listed three of the five board members right
there), I hope you accept my contribution to the
problem. These ascii holdouts will probably
benefit from some inside help in site design,
something with frames perhaps, and a better layout
for the ascii files? Just my opinion, but I think
they could use the help of an interior FrontPage
 decorator. :-)

If you feel I've reacted too quickly on Jim's
favorable response, you should know that the
moment I saw the post of names like
 www.voynich.net, I knew they wouldn't be available
tomorrow, and felt I had to do something to
preserve a direct link to our studies. Whatever
use you finally put it to, I believe I'm committed
to this contribution, and I hope it gives VMS
studies a slightly better focus and direction
 toward the future.
