For those who are keeping
track, quire 6 is now ready for viewing in the password section. Quire 7 should be up by Sunday
night. No further word yet back from Beinecke on my request,
but I understand it is under advisement. Keep your eyes crossed they come
through.
For those who haven't
veiwed these files but wish to, until Beinecke gives a thumb one way or another
it is necessary that you state you own a copy of the manuscript purchased from
Beinecke, you won't redistribute images, and don't forget to give a preferred
name and password so I can activate your access.
So much of our research
and discussion has been disconnected from the manuscript itself, and when you
see thousands of repetitive characters aligned with their appropriate glyph, you
have to wonder why we ever went to <sch> and other extended forms of
_expression_ to state a simple truth.
I haven't gone as far as
setting up a web database yet, until I hear from Beinecke. I'd
like it to be searchable by image, character and word, in both EVA and
VGBT. If I have made a convincing case to Beinecke, this will soon be
possible, and it is my hope that it will become a reality.
