VMs: Re: Further to: Marci letter (different hands?)

I'm no graphologist, but if I compare this handwriting with *the* Marci
letter, then I see two different sets of handwriting. I showed it to my wife
and she also said "That's not the same person." Well, look for yourself:

I was about to write a post making exactly this point. The handwriting of the letter of 1666 in the Beinecke library is not Marci's. However, the signature is his and it appears under the words 'ad obsequia', 'in obedience to'. I think that an aging Marci dictated the letter to a secretary.

Furthermore, in the Carteggio Kircheriana there is a letter written in the same handwriting as the Beinecke letter of 1666 which was also signed by Marci, on 10 September 1665 (vol VIII, MS 562, p. 114):

I think this is clear evidence that both Marci letters concerning
the Voynich MS are genuine and that the manuscript was once in
Kircher's possession.
