VMs: gnostic circle

I am not sure if this artefact has been brought to attention:

It comes from the book "Die Gnosis" by Kurt Rudolph (Leipzig,
2nd 1980 ed.) - there is an English translation but I don't
know if the illustrations are the same.

The gestures of the figures seem to resemble those in
the VMS - but perhaps not closely enough. If this gnostic
connection is acceptable, then perhaps the Cathar hypothesis
should be reconsidered in some other form?
