VMs: News and Replies
I now have my first real piece of Voynichania.
I ordered a copy of Elegant Enigma through Borders
Books a couple of weeks ago. It came in last Thursday,
but I had the flu and was unable to get it until yesterday.
They also had a copy of The Codebreakers, but I thought
$70 US was too steep for one chapter of interest. I'll keep
an eye out at my favorite used bookstores instead.
A few replies--

What I meant by predictive was like someone predicting where Jupiter
would be five years later.
Obviously these alignments were of some importance to the Author, or
else they wouldn't be in the book drawn so precisely that I can find them
with a planetarium program.
I've got a very strong feeling that we're looking at a unified theme with
the astro/cosmo/zodiac section.

My thought is that the events depicted would be of significance only to the
Author, but he/she wanted to be sure nobody else had access, lest they
interfere.

Probably just my imagination, then. But if you look carefully, you can
find the number-characters in order (except 4, which is why I used ?)
starting from the 2 pm marker.

I thought that mark in the center of the star was part of the drawing.

Yes, I'd noticed that before. And right in the middle, there's that pesky
"4"
again. I bet when we find out what it means, we'll smack our collective
heads and say, "Of course. How silly of me not to realize that."
I also want to point out in f69r that the eighth word of text is two stand
alone letters that mean "15". But I haven't found 15 of anything on that
folio.
It might refer to one of the 'split' zodiac signs.
