VMs: VMS - Numbers?

I was following my line on the manuscript being in a Turkish dialect, and found something interesting....

The numbers are:

1 bir
2 iki
3 uc
4 dort
5 bas
6 alty
7 yedi
8 sekiz
9 dokuz
10 on

Ever since Robert identified that certain glyphs are numbers I thought that the characters might be identified by the number "name" (ie o for one, t for two, r for three, f for four, etc). Once I had the above list I plugged the letter scheme I came up with into Robert's list of numbers...and some of them seem to make sense.

Robert: We may want to review some of your numbers based on this. I have put in some of the EVA characters, along with the sound the letter translates as based on my interpretation. #1 and #9 end up the same between yours and mine:

eva # name - sound
(o) 1 bir - b
(e) 2 iki - k
( ) 3 uc - u?
(l) 4 dort - r
(k) 5 bas - ? (I thought this was the "ir" sound)
(d) 6 alty - a,al
( ) 7 yedi - y or ee?
( ) 8 sekiz - ?
(ch) 9 dokuz - d
(n) 10 on - n

Robert - this would make the date on f68r3: dekbr 1514 (december) Check out Starry night for late December 1514 (ie the 27th). The Moon and Jupiter both appear correctly, and it seems to fit 68r3 and 68r2.

I have some more checking to do, and may blow my own theory out the window, but let me know what you think.
