I would think that at the time in question (roughly 1400-1600)
there would have been loads of Hebrew Kabbalistic manuscripts
all around Central-Eastern Europe. Jew had already been expelled
from major Western countries and settled in Poland and Bohemia.
This is, in fact, where Kabbalistic schools flourished after
they left Spain in the 13th c.
So there is no reason the Vatican library (or any Italian library)
should be seen as any special collection of Hebraica at that
time.
