There's no inconsistency here - as with programming, it's the last 1% that seems to take 99% of the time. Basically, I just think we need to join the dots we've already got, rather than look for too many new ones. :-)

And the one who finally reads the VMS will be the same person who
has established the exact content of a 'glyph'.  Circular logic,

Let's not trade syllogisms, GC - we're all on the same pizza delivery bike, looking for an early delivery by whatever means... I'll be pleased to feed whoever's at the door it finally stops at. ;-)
