Re: VMs: qo-words MORE
I understant the carefulness of Gabrial Landini.
Actually it is not very simple problem to detect real prefixes and suffixes -
Stolfi have done it, and his final conclusion was negative (!) - that it is a
CHINESE-like language (it means that actually no preffixes and no suffixes are
existing, practically arbitrary combination of "initials","medials"
and "finals" can construct a correct word with an independent meaning.
I suppose that
(1) we have just prefixes and suffixes, but not very much, some of
statistically powerful "prefixes" and "suffixes" are nothing more as"popular
parts of the root", and such status should be set carefully.
(2) accepting/not-accepting of prefix-suffix is a way to distinguish different
kinds of the words and finally the role of particular words in the syntax
structure of the sentence.
Arabic language has also chinese-like word length distribution, it does not
have very long words and very arbitrary combination of letters products a
correct word with and independent meaning.
But arabic language has real preffixes and suffixes, constructing
various "kinds of words" using the same "3-character-nest".
I think, before deciphering, it should be very useful to detect all
possible "kind of words" having similar "properties" - it means
(1) like /not-like to produce labels
(2) like /not-like to stay in the beginning/end of the sentence
(3) like /not-like to accept some popuilar prefixes/suffixes
In arabic language, for example, we have
(1) like to produce labels - the words starting with "m" (m grafically is the
same as Voynichese "o")
(2) like to stay in the beginning - the verbs
(3) the verbs can produce other categories of words by
suffixes/prefixes/infixes and vowel structure.
The next step is to research the "context" of categories of words (dependent
words) and finally the syntax structure of the sentence.
What do we have in the beginning:
(1) A "nouns" as o-words producing the labels
(2) "Hard core words" having roots starting with k-,t-,f-,p- and acceptong
o- and qo- prefixes very often
(3) Words staying in the beginning of the paragraph (mostly Hard-core)
(4) "Mantel words" having roots starting with ch-,sh-,e-, cth, cph, cfh, cph-
and accepting o- and qo- prefixes, but seldom
