VMs: The text at the end... a possible link with the herbal?

Hi everyone,

You may be interested to know that Sergio Toresella, having now looked at 
the no-ip scans, suggests that the text at the end might in fact start 
"habet nomen nanufar..."

"Nenuphar is the French word for the beautiful white or pink lily flowers 
found on lily pads in still ponds", according to:-

"Nanufar" also appears to translate to "beautiful" in Italian, though it 
fails to appear in my (admittedly modern) Italian dictionary. Here's a link

The word also appears on the web, though only once, and on this fairly

I think that the most intriguing thing is that the plant on page f2v of the 
VMS clearly appears to be... nymphaea alba, ie "nenuphar" - so, might this 
herbal picture be a graphic version of the author (or scribe's) name?

Also: I've long suspected f2v to be one of the major herbal candidates for 
hiding something, because there appears to be partially erased text on the 
neck of the flower, that looks (to my eyes) something like "M" with a tiny 
"2" beneath it.
