Hi Nick:

You seem to have deliberatley ignored all the rationalization and
justification that accompanies my argument and also my implicit suggestion
for being careful about "not seeing the forest for the trees" when examining
ornamented interpretations of minutiae. Anyway, your commentary is erudite
and informative and I thank you for it. You did not provide a link or a
location for the evt interlinear file that you mention;  is it available to
the public? I searched Alltheweb and Google for "the mysterious device
described in the Cabal"  and  "in the .evt interlinear file" and found only
http://www.dcc.unicamp.br/~stolfi/voynich/Notes/010/Notes-junk.txt , which
contains nothing about Cabal.
