I think your hypothesis is incompatible with the most common idea we have
about VMs : a alchemical manuscript to produce a "elixir of long life".

Second point : the nude women are also incompatible with the true jewish
tradition at this time (the human representation)

third point : in the middle ages, botanic, the sky, the plants, the life,
the men and women, cats, dogs, ..., the elements, the earth... all these
things were totaly together  to claim one goal : to live, evolve,
participate in the nature.

My english is so bad to try translating some lines from books of the  middle
ages on this subject. I have bought a french book "the livre des grimoires"
= the book of magic spells. Very interesting to read it. M. Lecouteux is an
authority in France and Europe in the magical texts.
