Re: VMs: A & B Tokens and Titles....

Hi all (*dumb Question steve again*)

Since there are no dumb questions? (someone said? (i hope?:-))

Looking at John's "TITLED PAGES", What the H*ck is a "TITLE"?

FWIW:

I see "words" : which I personally seperate with _True spaces_
I'm "iffy on 1/2 spaces", & individual penstrokes are going to deep!
(per ES).

Is your "Title" referring to extremely "long gallows?" (then the
folios I have in the copy-flo don't fit here. Is a "Title" the first
thing that would _catch your eye_? wherever it might be postioned on
that page?

Sorry in advance for the dumb Question, but we should all be on the
same page to communicate etc.. (just a thought, as I had to guess what
word to use for FLIP/ROTATE or HIKE/SHIFT in "Folding". The V. is
complex enough already?

Thanks in advance :-)
What is a "Vms.TITLE" reflecting?

SNIP....

 f1r = 4 titles
 (and the other half of the vellum) f8r has another 3 titles.

 f9r = 1 title
 (and the other half of the vellum) f16r had another one.

 f17 doesn't have any titles - but f18r, f19v, f22v and f24r have single
 titles.

 f25r, f27r, f28v and the 'B' folio f31r have single titles.

 The only title in the next quire is on the quire marked page f40v.

 f41 is a 'B' folio and no title - but has a couple of heads,
 but f42r has three titles, and f42v has another two.

 f49r doesn't have a title but has snakes while f49v has the side lined
 'code'.

END SNIP
