VMs: Re: qo-words
I just read a bit in the archive and came across the discussion about
the letter "q". It occurred to me, that this might be an article, like
"the" or "a"?
In the Coptic language, for example, the article is prefixed to the
word. This would be consistent with the fact that it does not appear in
images: When you have an image of an apple you simply write "Apple"
beneath it, but in the text you would say "an apple" or "the apple".
PS: I was once on this list, but then decided to stay away from it, to
safe time, but I just couldn't resist. :-)
